Mass. Family Talks About Role In 'Borat' Movie

The movie it seems everyone is rushing to see features a lot of people unaware they're in a spoof, which is why some are critical of the way they were treated in "Borat."
But not one family -- they're loving their time in the spotlight.
Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen plays the movie's title character, Borat. He pretends to be an out-of-touch and awkward journalist from Kazakhstan traveling across America interviewing people, but his antics typically result in the unsuspecting participants in the film looking foolish.
"My dad said that they were coming over to our bed and breakfast to film a documentary for the Kazakhstani people," said Jeffrey Behar, whose family was featured in the movie.
Last year, when the Behars were still operating a kosher bed and breakfast out of their Newton home, the fictional Borat and his sidekick Azamat showed up to rent a room for two nights. The Behars noticed strange behavior right away.
"So these were the stairs where Borat and Azamat ran down the stairs because they thought my parents turned into cockroaches," Behar explained to CBS affiliate WBZ-TV.
Jeffrey also told the television station, "He said, 'why do you have so many Jews on your wall,' and my mom said, 'because we're Jewish.'"
Some people in the movie haven't been thrilled about being duped. So how are the Behars taking it?
"I thought it was very funny and he is a genius," said Miriam Behar, who was featured in the movie.
"It's their fifteen minutes of fame," Jeffrey said.
While the Behars are taking this in stride and have no bad feelings towards Borat, they say they would have liked some free passes to the movie.
The Behars can be seen in the first 15 minutes of the film.
