A crowed first day of class at De Anza College.

It was the first day of classes at De Anza College Monday, and there were a lot of students waiting to find out if they would get the classes they need. Unfortunately, the answer for many is no.
California's budget crash has students scrambling for classes. Twenty five thousand are enrolled and not all are finding room in the courses they need.
College president Brian Murphy says 2,300 students got no classes at all.
"The wait list size of about 12 and a half, 13 thousand is easily twice what it was last year at this time," he said. "It's just an exponential rise in demand."
With enrollment is up one percent and five percent fewer classes, there are wait lists of 15 to 20 students, especially for classes like math and science.
In his video report, Ket Do talked to students hoping to join classes that are already full.
