Series Of Earthquakes Rattle Hollister Area
HOLLISTER, San Benito County (AP) ―
Several small earthquakes have rattled a remote area outside of Hollister.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the four largest temblors struck late Monday night and early Tuesday morning and ranged from magnitude-3.5 to magnitude-3.8.
They were all centered near the city of Tres Pinos, about ten miles south of Hollister and 50 miles south of San Jose.
Another magnitude 3.0 was recorded at 6:46 Tuesday morning.
Police in Hollister say they felt some of the quakes but have had no reports of any damage or injuries.
