Earthquakes Shake Sonoma, San Diego Counties
THE GEYSERS (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ―
Small earthquakes struck both ends of California in Sonoma and San Diego counties on Tuesday.
At 3:59 a.m., a magnitude-3.7 earthquake struck about 2 miles northeast of The Geysers, centered near Cobb, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
An earlier report had measured the quake at 3.4.
About an hour later, a magnitude-2.5 quake hit about 6 miles northeast of The Geysers and 16 miles east of Cloverdale, according to the USGS.
Later at at 6:34 a.m., a magnitude-3.9 undersea quake struck west of San Diego. It was centered 23 miles southeast of Navy-owned San Clemente Island.
No damage or injuries were reported in any of the earthquakes.
