2 Early Morning Quakes Strike Near The Geysers
SONOMA COUNTY (BCN) ―
The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting two small earthquakes struck near the Geysers in Sonoma County early Wednesday morning.
The USGS is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.4 struck around 1 a.m.
According to the USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 2.0 miles and was centered 2 miles east of the Geysers and 13 miles east of Cloverdale.
About 30 minutes earlier, the USGS also reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.2 struck in the same area.
According to the USGS, the earlier earthquake had a depth of 0.9 miles and was centered 4 miles east-southeast of the Geysers and 15 miles east of Cloverdale.
