Small Earthquake Shakes Near Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL (BCN) ― The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.2 struck early Saturday morning in Santa Clara County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 4:44 a.m. and had a depth of about 5.9 miles.

The quake was centered about 7 miles southwest of Morgan Hill and 37 miles southeast of San Jose City Hall, according to the USGS.
