Central California Hit By 4.6 Magnitude Quake
LAKE NACIMIENTO (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ―
A moderate earthquake shook Central California Saturday morning, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake struck in northern San Luis Obispo County about 5:30 a.m. and had a magnitude of 4.6.
The quake was centered in an area about eight miles southwest of Lake Nacimiento, 10 miles northeast of Cambria and 15 miles west of Paso Robles, according to the USGS.
Seismologists said the quake had a depth of 4.6 miles
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Himmelrich said dispatchers felt the quake and several people called in to report alarms going off, but there were no reports of damage or injury.
