19-Yr-Old Killed In San Jose Gang-Related Stabbing
SAN JOSE (BCN) ―
San Jose police are investigating a fatal Thursday night stabbing as a possible gang-related incident, a police spokesman said.
Officers were called around 8:05 p.m. to the area of Kammerer and Oakland avenues, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering stab wounds, Officer Enrique Garcia said.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but died within a few hours, Garcia said. His identity has not been released.
Garcia said the incident began when a "group of guys" approached another group, and the two groups began fighting. During the fight, the victim was stabbed.
No suspect information was immediately available, and police are investigating the incident as a gang-related crime, Garcia said.
Police will not release additional information regarding the stabbing until after 8 a.m. Friday, according to Garcia.
