2 Men Killed In Separate SF Shootings
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
San Francisco police are investigating separate shootings that left two men dead Saturday night, officials said Sunday.
At 10:43 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Connecticut Street in the city's Potrero Hill neighborhood on reports of shots fired, according to police.
Arriving officers found 41-year-old Victor Carson, a San Francisco resident, suffering a gunshot wound to his neck, police said.
Carson was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 11 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
About a half hour earlier, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Geary Boulevard near the city's Japan Center.
Police said initial reports indicate that a 31-year-old man was shot at Geary Boulevard and Buchanan Street before he ran across the street and collapsed.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
No arrests have been made in connection with either shooting and both cases remain under investigation.
