Man Jailed For Robbing Wallet In Walnut Creek
PLEASANT HILL (BCN) ―
A 22-year-old man was arrested in Pleasant Hill Monday afternoon on suspicion of robbing a male victim of his wallet in Walnut Creek, police said.
Jesse Meth, of Pleasant Hill, was allegedly armed with a baseball bat when he approached the victim on the canal trail near Winton Avenue at about 2:45 p.m., according to Walnut Creek police. He took the victim's wallet before heading to a nearby vehicle and fleeing the area, police said.
The victim and a witness managed to give officers a detailed description of the vehicle and Meth was located a short time later by Pleasant Hill police officers, who were investigating Meth for an unrelated incident, Walnut Creek police said.
Pleasant Hill police contacted Meth and notified Walnut Creek officers, who arrested him for the robbery.
