Vacaville Parolee Arrested After Running Over Man
VACAVILLE (BCN) ―
Police arrested a 37-year-old parolee wearing an electronic ankle monitor after he allegedly hit a man with his vehicle in a driveway in Vacaville late Thursday night.
At about 11:10 p.m., police received a call from a witness in the 900 block of Davis Street reporting that someone tried to run a female over with his vehicle.
Police later determined that the driver, Shannan Danley, had struck a man with this vehicle in the driveway of 949 Davis St.
Officers discovered the man had been struck by a vehicle and pushed into a garage door. The impact caused the door to dislodge from its tracks, sending it and the victim flying to the rear of the garage, police reported.
The victim was transported to a hospital with substantial injuries.
After the incident, Danley exited the vehicle and allegedly assaulted the victim inside the garage before leaving.
Danley, a Vacaville resident, was electronically tracked by police at an undisclosed residence in Vacaville and taken into custody outside the home.
Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Vacaville Police Department at (707) 449-5200.
