1 Person Dead After 4 Shootings In Oakland Thurs.

OAKLAND (BCN) ― Three non-fatal shootings Thursday evening and one fatal shooting Thursday afternoon made for a violent day in Oakland.

The first incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of 68th Avenue. The male victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Police said no suspects have been arrested.

According to the Alameda County coroner's bureau, the man has been identified but his name is not being released pending family notification.

Three male victims sustained non-life threatening injuries about six hours later in the 9500 block of Birch Street, said police. The shooting was reported at 6:34 p.m. and no suspects were identified.

Just two minutes later another shooting was reported in the 8800 block of International Boulevard, this time sending a female victim to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. A suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, police reported.

Around 8 p.m., a male adult was injured during a shooting in the 3900 block of Edwards, said police. There were no arrests in the case and the victim's condition was unknown.
