3 Bodies Found Near Napa; Murder Not Suspected
NAPA (CBS 5 / BCN) ―
Napa County authorities were investigating three separate deaths Monday, but said that none appeared to be homicides.
Napa County Sheriff's Department Capt. Gene Lyerla said a 63-year-old woman was found dead around 10 a.m. in a vehicle at 1558 Trancas St. in Napa. No further details were available. Lyerla said there were no signs of foul play and Napa police were investigating.
Lyerla said the sheriff's department also is investigating the apparent suicide of a 37- or 38-year-old Napa man whose body was found in a yellow sport utility vehicle at Silverado Trail and Deer Park Road around 6:40 a.m. The man had a gunshot wound in his temple, Lyerla said.
Lyerla said 46-year-old Dan Doyle of Napa was found dead in the northeast section of Lake Hennessey Saturday morning.
It is unknown how Doyle got to the remote area at state Highway 128 and Chiles & Pope Valley Road because no vehicle or bicycle was found, Lyerla said.
Doyle was fully clothed. Swimming is not allowed in the lake that supplies water to the City of Napa, Lyerla said. Boats with motors 10 horsepower are less are allowed, he said.
