2 ID Theft Suspects Arrested At Moraga Safeway
MORAGA (BCN) ―
A Safeway clerk in Moraga helped police arrest two identity theft suspects Saturday after they allegedly tried to buy gift cards with a stolen credit card, Moraga police said Tuesday.
Someone at the store called police to report two suspicious men who were attempting to buy gift cards, police said.
A clerk at the store recognized the pair as the same two men who made a purchase two days earlier using a stolen credit card, police said.
Police arrived and arrested them as they attempted to drive out of the parking lot.
Herbert Therman II, a 35-year-old Suisun City resident, and Dominique King, a 25-year-old Oakland resident, were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property and fraudulent use of a credit card.
After further investigation, police found that the men were in possession of several stolen credit cards and stolen driver's licenses, police said.
