Checks still aren't in the mail for people who recently participated in an Oakland gun buyback program.
It sounded like a great deal, turn in your gun and get $250 with no questions asked.
Oakland's plan to get guns off the streets by offering cash was a huge success, right up until they had to pay out the gun owners. The program only budgeted enough money to buy 320 guns, but when about 1,000 were dropped off, some were forced to take a rain check.
It has been three months, and now it looks like some of the people waiting for their money may finally get paid. Our video report has more.
