A 25-year-old man wanted for allegedly robbing at least three gas stations on Sonoma County was arrested in Rohnert Park this evening, police reported.
Matthew Meehan is suspected of robbing three gas stations in Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa this month, as well as wireless communications store in Rohnert Park on Saturday.
Around 5:30 p.m. today, an RP Public Works employee spotted Meehan driving a black Honda Accord and contacted the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
The caller said he lost sight of Meehan near Southwest Boulevard and Adrian Drive but officers spotted the suspect vehicle on Adrian Drive near Santa Barbara Drive.
Police said traffic was diverted around the area while officers conducted a traffic stop and took Meehan into custody on a $100,000 felony robbery warrant without incident.
Although police did not find a gun inside the vehicle, they did report finding handgrips from a simulated semi-automatic handgun under a seat.
Meehan refused to make a statement and was booked into Sonoma County Jail.
