Gunman Sought In SF Road Rage Deaths Of Dad, Sons

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ― San Francisco police released a sketch Tuesday of an alleged gunman  involved in a road rage shooting in the city's Excelsior district that killed a father and two of his four sons.

Police said 48-year-old Anthony Bologna was driving home, headed south on Congdon street, with two sons Sunday at 3 p.m. when he was forced to stop in the intersection of Congdon and Maynard — blocking the path of another car.

Bologna backed up his car to allow the other driver through. But someone from that car shot at Bologna's vehicle, killing him and his 20-year-old son Michael, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bologna's youngest son, 16-year-old Matthew, was in critical condition at San Francisco General Hospital after being shot several times, but was taken off of life support Tuesday evening and pronounced dead.

The other car involved in the incident drove away north on Congdon Street — and police were searching for a newer-model, gray-green or gray-blue Chrysler 300M with tinted windows and chrome rims.

Police said as many as three men were riding in the car and noted that a similar Chrysler 300 was seen at another shooting earlier Sunday.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked by authorities to call the San Francisco Police Department's homicide detail at (415) 553-1145 or the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

A total of 50 homicides have been reported by the San Francisco Police Department so far this year. In 2007, the department recorded 98 homicides.
