Fairfield Man Expected To Survive Weekend Shooting

FAIRFIELD (CBS 5 / BCN) ― A man who was critically injured in a shooting in Fairfield Saturday night is now in stable condition, police said Tuesday.

Investigators said they have no new information on the shooting, which was reported at 11:29 p.m. in the 1800 block of Santa Monica Street.

Officers found the victim at the scene, shot in the stomach and the hand, police said. He was taken to a local trauma center and initially listed in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and anybody with information is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department at (707) 428-7300. Anonymous tips can be left with the Solano County Crime Stoppers line at (707) 644-STOP.
