Surveillance video at a cell phone store in Oakland shows armed men charging into a store. Through a skim mask, one robber yells: "get down!"
The clerk obliges while one of the accomplices runs behind the counter and fumbles around, searching for the register.
"Get the (expletive) drawer open!" yells the lead robber.
Finally, with the help of the clerk, he finds it and cleans it out.
The video shows the men running out of the door. The robbery lasts less than a minute.
It happened about 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Metro PCS store in the 3900 block of Telegraph. A passerby immediately flagged down police and the chase was on.
Just a few blocks away, at 29th and Telegraph, police arrested four men and a woman.
Dorothy Lawrence said she is the mother of one of those arresteed and the grandmother of another.
Lawrence said her boys are "innocent, no matter what the evidence shows."
Oakland Police Sgt. Eric Lewis told CBS 5 the robbery does not appear to be related to a string of takeover robberies at restaurants in recent weeks, but indicated that "they appear to be copycat robberies."
Police were studying the surveillance video and other evidence.
Officers said they recovered at least some of the $2,000 that the store clerk reported stolen.
