3 Suspects In Bolinas Attempted Murder Arraigned

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

BOLINAS (BCN) ― Two suspects in the stabbing of a transient in Bolinas will appear in Marin County Superior Court on Thursday in a bid to be released on their own recognizance.

Ryan Patrick Lorne, 22, and Stefan Do, 16, both of Bolinas, were arraigned Monday. A third suspect Thoren Manetta, 19, of Mill Valley, was arraigned Tuesday.

Do is being held in juvenile hall but he is being prosecuted as an adult. Manetta's bail is $1 million and Lorne's bail is $500,000.

A fourth suspect, Lamont Elkins, 21, of Tiburon and Bolinas, is still at large and there is a warrant for his arrest.

All four have been charged with the attempted murder of Ricky Green on Brighton Avenue near the beach in Bolinas on June 23. Elkins and Do also are charged with use of a deadly weapon.

Green was found with a stab wound and severe lacerations to his head and thigh in the area of 94 Brighton Ave. at 11:12 p.m., the Marin County Sheriff's Office said. A sheriff's office dive team recovered a knife from Bolinas Lagoon.

Green was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was initially in critical condition but his condition has improved.

The beating shocked Bolinas community members. Green was described as free-spirited and a flashy dresser.

Sheriff's Sgt. Gary Wilbanks said investigators are still trying to determine a motive and whether the assault on Green is related to the assault of another man the night before on Wharf Road.
