4 Charged In Attempted Murder Near Bolinas
BOLINAS (BCN) ―
Attempted murder charges were filed Friday in Marin County Superior Court against four suspects accused of beating a transient near a Bolinas beach Monday.
Marin County District Attorney Edward Berberian said Ryan Patrick Lorne, 22, and 16-year-old Stefan Doe, both of Bolinas, were charged Friday in court. Doe also is charged as an adult with use of a deadly weapon, Berberian said.
Neither defendant entered a plea and they will return to court Monday morning, Berberian said.
Two other adults, Thorem Manetta and Lamont Elkins, were charged but they remain at large, Berberian said. He said their ages and addresses were not immediately available. There is a $1 million warrant for their arrest, Berberian said, and Elkins also is charged with use of a dangerous weapon.
All four are accused of attempting to murder Ricky Green, 23, a transient in the Bolinas area. He was found with a stab wound and severe lacerations to his head and thigh in the area of 94 Brighton Ave. at 11:12 p.m. Monday, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.
Green was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was in critical condition Wednesday. A hospital spokeswoman said she had no information on Green.
Bolinas community members were shocked by the beating of Green, who was described as free-spirited and a flashy dresser.
