Suspect Named In Antioch Teen Robbery, Shooting

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch
ANTIOCH (BCN) ― Antioch police have identified 17-year-old Sirvontre Ingram, also known as "Tre," as a possible suspect in the Sept. 18 shooting of a 16-year-old boy on a walking path behind a Wal-Mart store.

The victim was cutting through Knoll Park shortly after 5 p.m. on his way to buy cat food at Wal-Mart he was robbed of an MP3 player and then shot twice, once in the back and once in the arm, as he was running away, police said.

Police said Thursday they believe Ingram was the shooter.

The victim was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in critical condition. In the days following the shooting, police said the boy was able to talk and expected to survive, but no further updates on his condition were available Thursday.

Ingram is also wanted on an unrelated no-bail warrant, police said.

He should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the Antioch Police Department's dispatch at (925) 778-2441 or Detective Blair Benzler at (925) 779-6930.
