Antioch Park Shooting Victim Identified

ANTIOCH (BCN) ― A man who was fatally shot near a park in Antioch Sunday night has been identified as 18-year-old Matthew Butler, a Contra Costa County deputy coroner said Monday.

Police found Butler at about 10:20 p.m. inside his parked car in the 5000 block of Lone Tree Way near Williamson Ranch Park, Antioch police said.

He had been shot multiple times, police said.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available.
