Antioch Teen Arrested For Selling Pills At School

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

ANTIOCH (BCN) ― A 15-year-old boy was arrested at Antioch High School on Tuesday for allegedly selling and giving prescription narcotic pills to other students, police said.

The student reportedly stole multiple pills of hydrocodone from a relative and brought the pills to school, according to police.

Police and school officials learned of the incident when students became ill from taking the pills.

Officers went to Antioch High School, 700 W. 18th St., around 2 p.m. The student was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale on school grounds and was taken to juvenile hall.

Antioch police said at least 10 students possessed the hydrocodone and all were treated by paramedics. Two students went to the hospital for further medical attention, but no one was seriously injured, according to police.

The case remains under investigation.
