School Taking Donations For Slain Danville Teen
DANVILLE (BCN) ―
A Danville high school is asking for donations to help family members cover the costs of the funeral for a 17-year-old student who was fatally shot on Jan. 20.
San Ramon Valley High School is offering shirts in honor of Rylan Fuchs, who was shot on the front porch of his family's home, allegedly by a 15-year-old boy who was arrested a few days later.
The shirts are available at the school, located at 501 Danville Blvd., for a suggested donation of $10.
On Wednesday, Primo's restaurant in Danville will donate a percentage of all dinner purchases to Fuchs' family.
The 15-year-old suspect has not yet been charged with Fuchs' murder but remains in custody in juvenile hall on an unrelated charge as the investigation continues, Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said Tuesday.
