The apartment shootout scene.

CBS 5 got an exclusive look inside the apartment where two Oakland Police officers were shot.
It was still a mess when our cameras came through. Police evidence tags mark dozens of bullet holes on every wall of the apartment rented by Lovelle Mixon's sister.
Michael Thompson, the building owner and manager, allowed a CBS 5 camera inside the apartment for only a few minutes.
Thompson told CBS 5 a family member asked him to prevent our camera from going back into a back closet where Mixon was shot dead.
The video clearly demonstrates how officers had to navigate a narrow bathroom hallway into the back bedroom.
SWAT team officers ran through a hail of AK-47 gunfire to reach Mixon.
Thompson also happenes to be an executive producer of "Slippin' Ten years with the Bloods," a documentary about street gang life.
He said Mixon was clearly sending a message to police:
"'I'm going to hold court in the street,' I would think he was saying." [Mixon said], 'I'm going to live and die right here.'"
