2 Charged In Berkeley Sorority House Death
BERKELEY (AP) ―
Two men face murder charges for their alleged roles in the shooting of a man who died while seeking help at a Berkeley sorority house.
Police believe Brandon Crowder and Nicholas Beaudreaux had a previous dispute with the victim, 23-year-old Wayne Drummond.
On September 4th in 2006, the two allegedly ran into Drummond at a restaurant and Crowder ordered Beaudreaux to shoot the victim.
Police believe Drummond's friends then dropped him off at University of California, Berkeley's Alpha Omicron Pi sorority house for help because he knew an employee there.
But people there delayed calling 911 because they initially thought the victim was drunk.
