Pawn Shops Helping Many Make Ends Meet

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― In tough economic times, people historically head for the pawn shop to make some extra money.

Instead of going to banks for loans, or taking cash advances on credit cards, some Bay Area consumers are bringing items to a pawn shop to use as collateral or just sell for extra cash.

Our video report looks at the creative ways consumers are using pawn shops to make ends meet.
