The Seafarer, by Irish playwright Conor McPherson, is set on Christmas Eve in Baldoyle, a coastal suburb north of Dublin city. Sharkey Harkin returns home to care for his recently blinded brother Richard. It?s Christmas Eve and the Harkin Brothers host old friends in a poker game where the stakes are higher than any of them could possibly realize. On this night the Devil comes for what's due. This production garnered multiple Tony Award nominations in 2008, for Best Play, two for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play and Best Director of a Play. Season tickets range from $80 to $170 per person for a five-play subscription, depending upon night of the week or Sunday matinee.
