Every summer, Stern Grove Festival brings world-class performing arts to you free in one of the country's most beautiful and unique natural settings.
Stern Grove Festival announces its 72nd Season of 10 admission-free concerts, Sundays at 2:00 pm from June 21 through August 23, 2009 at Sigmund Stern Grove, located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.
Stern Grove Festival's 72nd Season is made possible with support from Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund, National Endowment for the Arts, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Wells Fargo, and media sponsors KPIX - CBS 5, KBCW - The CW 44 Cable 12, SFStation.com, 7x7 Magazine, and SF Weekly.
This summer's stellar line-up of world-class performers includes R&B songstress Roberta Flack, folk music legend Joan Baez, Bollywood star Kailash Kher, French soul group Les Nubians, local hip-hop heroes Lyrics Born and The Mighty Underdogs, the "Queen of Cumbia" Toto La Momposina, salsa-reggae King Sergent Garcia, Bay Area cultural icons the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Opera, and much more.
