Learn More About Dr. Clayborne Carson

Dr. Clayborne Carson has devoted his professional life to the study of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Carson is a professor at Stanford and Atlanta's Morehouse College. He is also the founding director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute.
At the age of 19, Carson traveled to the nation's capitol to hear Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech.
In 1985, the late Coretta Scott King invited Carson to direct a long-term project to edit and publish the papers of her husband.
Dr. Carson has also collaborated with a San Francisco design firm to create the winning proposal in a competition to designthe national King Memorial in Washington, D.C.
