2-Alarm Fire Damages Pittsburg Nonprofit
PITTSBURG (BCN) ―
A two-alarm fire caused more than $1 million in damage to a nonprofit organization in Pittsburg early Sunday morning, a Contra Costa Fire Protection District dispatcher said.
The blaze was reported at 12:25 a.m. at Pacific Community Services Inc., located at 329 Railroad Ave., according to the dispatcher.
Firefighters contained the flames by 3:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The fire caused about $1 million in damage to the 7,500-square-foot structure and about $100,000 in damage to the contents, the dispatcher said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
