Placerville Sign Ties Obama To Hussein, Bin Laden
PLACERVILLE (CBS) ―
The former mayor of Placerville is drawing fire over a politically charged sign combining Barack Obama's name with two terrorists.
The sign outside Trent Saxton's chiropractic office says:
"If it walks like a duck
Saddam Hussein
Barack H. Obama
Osama bin Laden"
Saxton said he doesn't mean anything by it. He just put it up to make people think.
"It makes you think. And I want you to think," Dr. Saxton told CBS.
But when asked if sandwiching Obama's name between two terrorists means Saxton is calling Obama a terrorist, he said no.
"It doesn't point out that Barack Obama is a terrorist, because he's not a terrorist," said Saxton.
Dr. Saxton's said he's been getting an earful from people on both sides.
He said the sign's been up for a few weeks and he plans to take it down in the next few days.
