Former President Bill Clinton is predicting that Democratic candidate Barack Obama will win the November election "pretty handily."
Clinton and Obama met for lunch Thursday at Clinton's office in New York. The two shared small talk about Clinton's commute from Chappaqua, N.Y., while a group of reporters and photographers looked on.
The former president noted that he is traveling to Florida later this month to campaign for Obama. Obama told reporters, "We're putting him to work."
Asked where he sees Obama's race with Republican John McCain, Clinton said, "I predict that Sen. Obama will win and win pretty handily."
Obama added: "He knows a little something about politics."
