Teens With Big Ideas Attract Venture Capitalists
PALO ALTO (CBS 5) ―
In spite of the recession, some entrepreneurs are still getting paid big bucks for their bright ideas. Even more surprising, these entrepreneurs are still in high school.
Catherine Cook raised $4.1 million to develop the social networking site MyYearbook.com, which became profitable this year. Cook was at the SDForum's teen entrepreneur's conference, where students came to pitch their big ideas. Venture capitalists say it's an ugly economy, but a good idea is always attractive.
