Georgia Adamson is a professional resume writer whose business has increased 30 percent as of late. She transforms resumes that look and sound dense, into works of corporate art.
Adamson offered these resume tips. First, explain your value: how you can save a company time, money or help solve a problem. Second, compare and contrast yourself to other job hunters. And third, showcase yourself but don't mislead or lie.
These days, how you post your resume online is just as important. Adamson said to try niche websites first such as Avjobs.com, which offers job listings in the airline industry. Also, improve your search ranking by using the right keywords. In fact, Adamson often finds those acronyms and phrases in the actual job description itself.
Adamson said looking for a job in itself is a job, and it sometimes doesn't hurt to have a little help.
