J.M. Smucker Co. Statement on Organic Standards

The J. M. Smucker Company, through our R. W. Knudsen and Sons - Beverage Division and Santa Cruz brand, supports and encourages global sustainability and the important work of the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB), the Organic Trade Association (OTA), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
For the past twenty years we have worked closely with the Organic Industry to develop and retain standards to safeguard the integrity of the term "organic" for products sold in the United States and we will continue to actively participate in efforts to preserve these important standards.
The current standards, which Congress recently enacted legislation to preserve, were the result of more than a decade of open public participation by consumers, farmers, environmental groups, and businesses and more than 300,000 public comments.
Our products are one of at least 60 different brands competing to meet the preferences of consumers in the organic beverage area. We offer our customers a wide-range of quality products to meet their individual needs.
